MrJeff2000 Explains It All It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, um what was I talking about again?

I had my annual bout of food poisoning this past week.

Last week I coached my first little league game.

Last week they didn't schedule a coaches meeting until 36 hours before the start of the season.

Last week it also rained quite a bit.

Last Saturday was interesting.

This weekend I start my career with a new title, that of "Coach."

There are many titles we can gain over a lifetime and I discuss quite a few of them.

It was my birthday this past week. Thanks for asking.

I spent the day with my sons, and reflected on how I chose the activities we embarked upon.

I figured out that I've driven 7 cars regularly over the past 36 years of being a licensed driver.

And they have all been made by two manufacturers!

Back in the day.... there were video stores. Quentin Tarantino worked in one.

Then Blockbuster Video came and wrecked that business model (not to mention the basis for one of my film scripts).

What happened next was the advent of Netflix and film mailers. Which ultimately became a venue for video streaming services.

The goal is the same: Charge people to watch product on a device. The technology is what has evolved and changed the industry.

The MTA just enacted another fare hike.

There was immediate, understandable protest.

But this is a broken record and an indefensible system.

Nothing excites weather people more than a "weather event."

And a big one was expected this past week.

In some ways, it disappointed. In others, not as much.

Took my kids on a trip to Denver this past weekend.

Here are some stories of our travels.

I picked up 1,400 books this week to sell in December as part of my temple's annual Bazaar.

The book sale routinely gathers collectors and dealers who spend three days going through beteween 20,000 and 40,000 books.

With my involvement, the organizers are hoping to get closer to 40,000. And if they continue to work me like the past few weeks, they might just reach that goal.
