MrJeff2000 Explains It All It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, um what was I talking about again?

I recorded this episode in three segments on Election Day 2017.

The first at lunch, the second at dinner, and the third after the polls closed.

My perspective on some things changed over the course of the day's events.

My next door neighbor's mother went for a walk last year and disappeared for 36 hours.

When she came back, there was some odd behavior.

And it recently recurred.

I spent a 20-hour day volunteering as an election worker in the New York primary on September 12.

I decided at some point in the morning to grab a piece of paper and record several sections with my thoughts on the experience, and to document things that happened at the polls.

Labor Day weekend just passed.

My mother wanted to buy some thrift store spoon for a very specific reason.

I was never a big "play sports" guy.

Did some running, played badminton (yes) and tennis.

Some of my "play sports" stories this week.

I talked about getting a parking violation and getting towed a few weeks ago.

This week, I dwell more specifically on parking violations and the way things used to be.

The MTA has unleashed its "Summer of Hell" for commuters, specifically those who take the LIRR.

This gives me an opportunity to clear out a bunch of MTA-related articles I've been meaning to discuss on the podcast.

I've been volunteering to do book sorts to prep for my temple's annual Book Sale.

We put out 22,000 books last December and have pre-sorted 11,000 for this coming year.

Oh the joys of being a volunteer...

We just passed the Fourth of July holiday.

I did not see fireworks this year, but that's been the rule since my kids were born.

If I see fireworks, it generally entails a babysitter and lots of extra planning.
