MrJeff2000 Explains It All It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, um what was I talking about again?

My older son graduated from high school last week.

Due to terminology and the Department of Education, I have to say he is "transitioning," not graduating.

But the future looks bright, after some up and down spots.

One of my older son's classmates was lost for 13 hours last week.

Not a good experience.

For anyone.

But especially not someone with special needs.

My son's little league team won its first playoff game last weekend.

The secret was they were not TOLD it was a playoff game.

That helped keep the pressure off them, and it was an impressive experience from a group of 8-9 year olds.

Update: They lost in the second round on Saturday, so no finals.

I wouldn't call myself a pacifist; I'm just a guy who got lucky and always used my wits and sense of humor to stay out of fighting situations.

But there were a few times where that wasn't the case.

I just remembered one event, after a long period of having either forgotten or blocked it out.

Plus a really old news story about the delays to the East Side Access for the LIRR – which has STILL not been completed, even though this article is more than one year old!
