Did you know that a company in New York cannot deduct a shortage from a worker's paycheck or demand that they pay it from their own pocket?

Well, it is a right-to-work state, or if you are not a union member, they could summarily fire you for not making good on a shortage.

But this is not something I knew about 30 years ago. When I had a similar situation occur.

The New York City mayoral election is this week and nobody is giving Republican candidate Nicole Malliatokis a chance of victory.

Then again, this election is not all about getting elected. It's part of a larger, more intricate process involving the workings of the political system in New York City and State.

The President is a charlatan.

His administration is a shame.

This past week was a series of disasters and embarassments to our nation and around the world.

We just passed the Fourth of July holiday.

I did not see fireworks this year, but that's been the rule since my kids were born.

Congress tried to pass the AHCA in daylight and failed, so they went to cover of darkness and got the votes they needed.

The Senate attempted stealth passage but fell over their own feet. They will try again, but will need something the GOP hasn't shown recently – unity.

Former FBI Director James Comey testified under oath last week about Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

AG Sessions testified this week that Comey is lying.

One of them therefore committed perjury before a governmental body.

My money is on Sessions, who has a reputation of a weaselly, racist liar.
