MrJeff2000 Explains It All It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, um what was I talking about again?

Health updates about myself and my sons.

What else could you want in the middle of summer?

My younger son might have made a friend at the swim club this week.

Maybe.

My older son graduated from high school last week.

Due to terminology and the Department of Education, I have to say he is "transitioning," not graduating.

But the future looks bright, after some up and down spots.

One of my older son's classmates was lost for 13 hours last week.

Not a good experience.

For anyone.

But especially not someone with special needs.

My son's little league team won its first playoff game last weekend.

The secret was they were not TOLD it was a playoff game.

That helped keep the pressure off them, and it was an impressive experience from a group of 8-9 year olds.

Update: They lost in the second round on Saturday, so no finals.

My kids are getting ready for their summer programs.

For my younger son, that meant investigating a bunch of new camp options this spring.

Sometimes the act of volunteering becomes a chore.

Sometimes doing someone a favor means doing them more than a favor.

Sometimes a book pickup becomes a chore and more than a favor.

All good things come to an end.

Here is the fourth and final part of my trek to Denver.

It's on to the actual bat mitzvah itself, and some of the aftermath on Sunday morning. One more episode to go!

I can now tell you, having recorded the third portion that follows this installment, that my Denver saga will run across FOUR podcasts. Yes, I will talk for TWO HOURS about events that happened over a 48-hour period. So bear with me!
