MrJeff2000 Explains It All It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, um what was I talking about again?

The CitiBike program is expanding into upper Manhattan and areas of Brooklyn.

Staten Island feels ignored, but then again, it wouldn't be Staten Island otherwise.

The 2nd Avenue Subway expansion (part one) has attracted riders. But will it ever get to Part 2?

Finally, board games are making a comeback in the Digital Age.

If you believe Donald Trump is going to be a good President, this isn't the podcast for you to listen to.

Donald Trump is a venal, awful person, a lousy failed businessman, and a disgusting human being.

In this episode, I outline some of the more recent, egregious incidents of late from his planned administration.

The MTA announced a bunch of new projects that will revolutionize transportation around New York City and its surrounding boroughs.

More than $27 billion (with a B) for new subway cars, a refurbished LaGuardia Airport, a system to replace MetroCards, and a streetcar system to connect Brookly and Queens residents are being discussed.

And I am surprisingly fine with all of it.

Hate crimes are on the rise 35 percent on mass transit in NYC since the election.

I witnessed a possible incident this past week.

Yet it did not draw any discernible reaction from commuters.

Are we all hardened to the treatment of our fellow man, or are we just hardended in our resolve to be left alone as we transport ourselves?

Yes, I know there was an election this week.

In the meantime, let's talk about illegally rented AirBnB apartments and a woman with a crazy number of driver's license suspensions.

So the verdict came in shortly after my last true crime podcast and the defendant was found....well, real guilty.

Also, some talk about the environment and why it's worth five cents per one-use bag to help clean up the planet.

This week's podcast returns to the theme of minor obsessions.

There is (still) a free loyalty rewards program called viggle.com.

You get points for "checking into" TV shows and pop songs with your phone.

You can then exchange those points for merchandise or gift cards.

I decided to use those points to get my son an iPad several years ago.

And the minor obsession began.

My standing workstation is two cardboard boxes.

I've been using my office chair for 16+ years and it no longer rises, yet I have yet to request a replacement.

The chair before that was broken, but I avoided trashing it by simply not leaning backwards until building services forcibly removed it from my office.

In other words, health in the workplace was not one of my primary concerns until this year.

As much as I hate to talk about Donald Trump, the man provides endless material every time he opens his hateful mouth.

In the past week, a number of ridiculous claims were made that were simply swept under the rug, as if the general populace has heard enough and doesn't need to know about the latest batch of nonsense.

Meanwhile, his opponent got pneumonia and was a little shaky after the 9/11 Memorial. That became the big story. Not Trump using other people's money through his foundation to buy a six-foot-tall painting of himself. Not running mate Mike Pence refusing to denounce racist David Duke because "he's not in the name-calling business." Not Trump once again refusing to release his taxes.

The absurdity continues as Election Day draws nearer.

The CEO of Mylan, makers of the EpiPen, announced that the cost of the life-saving devices would skyrocket to $600. There was an uproar, but that didn't affect the price. In fact, the company announced a generic brand for half the price. Why? Why indeed.
