MrJeff2000 Explains It All It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, um what was I talking about again?

There were a full three pages of news about New York's Metropolitan Transit Authority today. So much information, in fact, that I could only talk about the first two pages.

I wouldn't call myself a pacifist; I'm just a guy who got lucky and always used my wits and sense of humor to stay out of fighting situations.

But there were a few times where that wasn't the case.

I just remembered one event, after a long period of having either forgotten or blocked it out.

Two updates on the topics from the past two weeks.

A bit frustrating, a bit ironic, a bit comic.

Sometimes the act of volunteering becomes a chore.

Sometimes doing someone a favor means doing them more than a favor.

Sometimes a book pickup becomes a chore and more than a favor.

It's on to the actual bat mitzvah itself, and some of the aftermath on Sunday morning. One more episode to go!

I can now tell you, having recorded the third portion that follows this installment, that my Denver saga will run across FOUR podcasts. Yes, I will talk for TWO HOURS about events that happened over a 48-hour period. So bear with me!

The Polar Vortex threatens to suck the life out of the Northeast but life goes on!

In the meantime, I picked up 1,000 books in the city with the help of a friendly (and paid) cab driver.
